The Ukrainian Air Force carried out a precision strike on April 7, 2025, destroying a Russian command center located in an underground structure in the occupied region of Kherson, in the southern part of the country.

The target belonged to the 81st Self-Propelled Artillery Regiment of Russia and, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the bombing significantly weakened the combat capabilities of the enemy troops in the area.

The bombs punctured the concrete structure, possibly from the Soviet era, resulting in an estimated elimination of 20 to 30 Russian soldiers. Images of the attack helped identify that the site hit was located between the villages of Oleshky and Nechaeve.

Ukrainian authorities did not disclose which aircraft carried out the attack, but it is believed that French or American-made weapons were used.

In addition to this operation, Ukrainian aviation has carried out other strategic strikes against Russian targets, such as using AASM HAMMER bombs in Guyevo, in the Kursk region, and JDAM-ER bombs against Russian troops in Soledar, near Bakhmut.

These actions are part of an ongoing effort to support ground troops and weaken the Russian military presence in key areas of the conflict.
